On March 4, 2021, Multihouse received a Congressional Certificate of Recognition from Representative Adam Schiff for “outstanding and invaluable service to the community.”
The certificate gave accolade to the success of Multihouse’s ENGAGE Program, which fosters growth and collaboration for local startups and non-profits, all while facilitating direct community impacts. Most recently, in February of 2021, Multihouse hosted the ENGAGE Supply Drive, which provided essential supplies to unhoused and impoverished communities throughout Los Angeles in a collaborative effort with the non-profits and startups in their program.
“It is an incredible honor to receive recognition from a member of Congress who has demonstrated such consistent service to his community and nation,” said Michael Tessler, Founder and CEO of Multihouse. “All those participating in the ENGAGE Program have been inspired by the tremendous leadership our community has exhibited throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. We look forward to expanding the program with local, state, and federal partners, and we hope to see Congressman Schiff and other community leaders in-person soon.”
Though unable to present the certificates personally, as he was in Washington D.C. negotiating the American Rescue Plan, Representative Schiff sent certificates of recognition to every person in the Multihouse ENGAGE Program as well as the staff at Second Home, where Multihouse’s office has been located since September of 2020. “Second Home is a Certified B Corporation dedicated to social impact. They are not just revitalizing their neighborhood, but breathing a refreshing spirit of service into every element of the community,” says Tessler.
