FORGOTTEN HISTORY: COME FROM AFAR
Photography by J.W. Hendricks
Creative Direction by Michael Tessler
Costume Design by Bandera Jones
Hundreds of years before Christopher Columbus set foot in the Americas, ancient runes and historic wedding rituals indicate that the Vikings likely traveled to Mexico and the West Coast, meeting peacefully with the Seri tribe. We explore the natives’ nonbinary cultural norms and beliefs, as well as why the meeting between Vikings and Mexican Natives occurred without conflict.
